This is the first printing of the first U.S. which is very rare. Printers' key 10...1. Made even more scarce by the fact it is signed by the author herself directly to the title page, not on a bookplate as most of the similar editions you will find for sale. Book is in excellent unread condition. Original dust jacket is in good condition but with a 1cm tear to the top spine portion of the jacket and the usual scratches and shelf wear. (A new jacket can be acquired relatively inexpensively by buying a newer unsigned book.) An excellent piece for the collector of serious historical/political memoirs.
