Here we have a lovley example of a 1759 riders dictionary, containing the New Univerfal Englifh Dictionary or a compleat treasure of the english language. Printed by W.Griffin for I. Pottinger, at the Dunciad in Peter-nofter-row. The book also contains a section to His majesty's principle secretaries of state the right honourable Willaim Pitt, Efq from Willaim Rider when he was assistant master of st Paul's school, and late of Jesus Collage, Oxford . The book is in good condition with age ware and tare. there is a signiture dated 1787 by Charles Deive which i asssume was a student from that era. I have not put a price on the book but would consider offers as i have had the book vauled.
