To be honest, this is a battered and well used copy of this iconic book, by the inventor of modern gardening and first great female gardener, beautifully illustrated on every page. Photograph shows the only colour plate but there is a sheet of tissue fitted in the book (usual at the time to protect delicate illustrations) which rather obscures the photo.
